But I feel fine, why should I go?"But I don't have pain" / "I don't have a bad back".... These phrases are often expressed as reasons for NOT going to a Chiropractor. The truth is that pain is one of the last symptoms that appear when a person has problems, and interestingly enough, it is also one of the first symptoms to disappear during the healing process. One might conclude that a person could have a major health problem and not even know about it. A person can not measure health by how they feel. It is possible for a person to feel "good" and be unhealthy, it is also possible for a person to feel "bad" and be healthy. For example, did you know that approximately 80% of cancers occur without any symptoms until the end stages? Or that for many heart attack victims, their first symptom is death? Your nervous system could have interference and you may not even know it. That is why it is so important to have your spine checked regularly. A Chiropractor is able to look at the X-rays, and perform a series of checks in order to determine if an adjustment is needed. Chiropractors are not "back doctors" but instead they can be seen as "nervous system" doctors. By adjusting the spine and allowing the nervous system to be free of interference it allows the body to function optimally. This makes for a happier, healthier person. More Questions?
